ROAS & ROI calculator

Turn ad spend and revenue into ROAS, profit, ROI and the break-even ROAS your margin actually needs.

Everything is calculated in your browser — nothing is sent to us.

How ROAS and ROI differ

ROAS compares revenue to ad spend; ROI compares profit to total cost. A 3x ROAS can still lose money if your gross margin is 25% — that is why this calculator asks for margin and shows the break-even ROAS you must beat.

Use break-even ROAS as your floor

Break-even ROAS is 1 divided by your gross margin. At a 60% margin you break even at 1.67x, so a 2.5x campaign is genuinely profitable, while at a 30% margin the same 2.5x is barely above the 3.33x floor.

Questions, answered

What is a good ROAS?

There is no universal number. Compare your ROAS to the break-even ROAS implied by your gross margin: anything above it is profitable, anything below it loses money regardless of how large the number looks.

Should ROI include agency and platform fees?

Yes. Add every variable cost tied to the sale — ad spend, platform or agency fees, payment processing and shipping — otherwise the profit figure flatters the campaign.
